We are thrilled at the prospect of your family joining ours. Cornerstone Christian Academy (CCA) was founded in 2001, serving grades K-8. Tykes Preschool was launched in 2003 & serves students stating at 18 months old through Pre-K.
Since the beginning, we have experienced growth beyond what we would have imagined. We believe that our growth is the direct result of our continued commitment to strong academics within a community cultivated through the love of Jesus. We are continually grateful for the opportunity to educate children to prepare them for their journey with a love for learning, a core value of kindness, patience, and discipline, but with unending support as they walk with God.
We are incredibly proud of earning ACSI Accreditation in both the Academy & Tykes Preschool. ACSI, (the Association of Christian Schools International) requires our school to maintain high standards and keeps us accountable to maintain God-driven principles. The level in which we approach education is unmatched assuring that your child will receive the finest school experience.
Tykes Preschool is rated within the top 1% of all licensed schools in the State of Nevada. Tykes has also earned a 5-star status through the Nevada QRIS Silver Stars program, being the only Private Christian Preschool to reach this status 3 times in a row!
Cornerstone Christian Academy and Tykes Preschool are both licensed through the State of Nevada.

TYKES PRESCHOOL ADMISSIONS PROCESS
1.) Schedule a Tour. You can also contact us at acurtis@ccanv.com or call 702-939-5050, ext 504. We look forward to meeting you! Schedule a Tour
2.) During your tour, we will let you know what we have available in your child’s age group.
3.) Once all agree that Cornerstone Christian Tykes Preschool is the best fit for your family, and we have determined that there is space available in your child’s age group, you will be emailed an “Invitation to Enroll” containing a link to enroll. This email will include instructions to complete the online enrollment packet that includes setting up your tuition plan and paying the Registration Fee. The Registration Fee is non-refundable.
4.) Complete your enrollment online within 48 hours. You will be able to choose your child’s schedule & start date.
5.) Submit your Enrollment Packet with Registration Fee.
Admissions Disclaimers
STATEMENT OF ADMISSION, ENROLLMENT AND RE-ENROLLMENT
Cornerstone administration reserves the right to determine the admission, enrollment and re-enrollment of its students at all times. Cornerstone Christian Academy is operated as an exempt school under the provision of NRS 394.211 and as such is exempt from the provisions of the Private Elementary And Secondary Education Authorization Act. Cornerstone reserves the right to review previous school records for students applying for admissions. There is a probationary period for all new students.
STATEMENT OF NON-DISCRIMINATION
Cornerstone admits students of any race, sex, color, creed, religion, national and ethnic origin to the rights, privileges, programs and activities generally accorded or made available to students at the school. It does not discriminate on the basis of race, sex, color, creed, religion, national and ethnic origin in the administration of its educational policies and other school administered programs.
SPECIAL NEEDS
Cornerstone reserves the right to determine whether we can accommodate the special needs of a child. We will accommodate special needs only if the child’s needs can be met with means of all inclusion and functionality of the classroom environment. If the child has already been diagnosed with special needs or has an IEP/ISFP, this information must be presented to the Tykes Admin/CCA Principal prior to testing and/or admission. Determination of whether the child’s needs can be accommodated will be up to the discretion of the Tykes Admin/CCA Principal. This includes, but is not limited to: aggression, disruptive behavior and students who are not identified with a diagnosis but disrupt the learning environment.
PARENT STATEMENT OF COOPERATION
Below is a condensed version of our Parent Statement of Cooperation. The full version is included in our Enrollment Packet for you to review and sign if/when you enroll.
Cornerstone is recognized by the NV Department of Education as a private school and is operated specifically as an exempt school under the provision of NRS 394.211. As such, Cornerstone is exempt from the provisions of the Nevada Elementary and Secondary Education Authorization Act and is afforded religious freedoms. Parent’s role is vital to the educational success of your child. We agree further that we will be partners with Cornerstone and will be involved with our student discipline and/or action plan as needed. Our parent/school relationship must be a unified partnership that demonstrates mutual respect and trust.
Parents & students MUST refrain from use of tobacco, alcohol, or profanity, disruptive behavior and/or damaging school property can result in immediate expulsion of your student(s). Parents are expected to cooperate with the authority of the school’s ministry team and may be asked to withdraw their students if they are unwilling to do so. All new students have a probationary period & will be reviewed at the conclusion of their first semester. The student will be either invited to continue at Cornerstone, placed on probation, or asked to withdraw at this review. Cornerstone reserves the right to review the behavior, spiritual growth, and academic progress of any student at any time to determine the mutual benefit of continued enrollment.
