Teachers are Pediatric CPR and First Aid certified.
Licensed through State of Nevada Childcare Licensing.
Priority enrollment into CCA Kindergarten.

QRIS rated 5-star Preschool four times since 2018.
Lunch is cooked in an “A” rated kitchen for children 3+ for an extra fee. Parents may bring lunch or purchase hot lunches in advance.
Morning and afternoon snacks are provided.
At least two full-time teachers in every classroom support closer relationships with each student.
Positive guidance includes conflict resolution, Love & Logic, natural consequences, and Conscious Discipline.
An intentionally loving and caring Christian atmosphere.
Special guests, field trips, and community partnerships help students understand and respect the world around them.
Licensing requires a nap/rest time in every class. Quiet activities are offered to children who remain awake.
Potty training is provided in Beginners and Jr. Preschool. Children must be potty trained to enter Preschool and Pre-K.

Meet Kate
Our Preschool Director
Hi, I’m Kate, and I am so excited and honored to be entering my second year as the Preschool Director at Cornerstone Christian Academy and Preschool!
After graduating from the University of Nevada, Reno, I jumped into the world of entrepreneurship and started my own business. For many years, I had the joy of owning and operating a children’s bakery and tea room. I absolutely loved creating a fun, welcoming space for children and families, and that experience taught me so much about working with children, building community, and making every child feel special.
My own children eventually started attending Cornerstone Preschool, and it didn’t take long for me to fall in love with the school and its Christ-centered mission. I truly believe God has a way of placing us exactly where we are meant to be, and I knew He was calling me to Cornerstone.
I started my Cornerstone journey as a Busy Bees teacher, and that classroom will always hold such a special place in my heart. To now serve as the Preschool Director feels like such a full-circle blessing, and I am incredibly honored to be in this role.
I love getting to know our families, cheering on our teachers, and creating a preschool experience where children feel loved, supported, and excited to learn. Most of all, I am passionate about creating a place where we can build little disciples, scholars, and leaders while showing our children the love of Jesus every day.
I am so thankful to be part of the Cornerstone family and cannot wait to see what God has in store for this year!
