Participation in athletics provides students with valuable lessons in hard work, dedication, sacrifice, and teamwork. Our aim is to foster self-discipline, cooperation, respect for rules and authority, and fair play within a Christian environment. To achieve these goals, we focus on building and maintaining a team and school spirit grounded in Christian principles, discipline, and shared objectives.

Now entering his 5th season as Athletic Director, Coach Berkey—alongside a phenomenal team of coaches—has built a Christ-centered, winning culture that continues to raise the bar. Under his leadership, our program has achieved multiple playoff appearances across all sports and back-to-back RRAC basketball championships!
A lifelong athlete and successful Las Vegas business owner, Coach Berkey brings unmatched passion, discipline, and heart to everything he does. A proud graduate of UNLV with a degree in Business Administration and Finance, he made his mark as a reserve player for the Runnin’ Rebels basketball team from 2004–2006, playing under the legendary Coach Lon Kruger. His time as a student-athlete shaped his commitment to hard work, organization, communication, and integrity—values he now instills in every Cornerstone athlete.
Coach Berkey’s greatest passion? Pouring into student-athletes—on and off the court. He thrives on helping students grow in confidence, character, and skill. His focus on fundamentals, discipline, and personal development helps athletes of all levels reach their goals and prepare for the next chapter, whether in high school athletics or life beyond sports.
Thanks to the incredible support of administration and parents, Cornerstone athletics continues to thrive. Recent program upgrades include a brand-new gym floor, a professional-grade volleyball net system, brand new training equipment (like plyometric boxes and agility ladders), and bold new uniform designs that reflect the energy and pride of our teams.
Coach Berkey is all-in when it comes to empowering student-athletes and pursuing excellence with faith, integrity, and heart.
